Wasser 3.0 at the ChemCYS 2018
The international conference ChemCYS took place in Blankenberge (Belgium) last week (February 21st-23rd). Every two years this event gives young scientists from all over the world the opportunity to present their work with oral presentations and posters. The main focus was placed on the exchange of knowledge in the various chemical topics. Every day, exciting plenary lectures were given by renowned scientists and Nobel laureates. In addition to the presentations, many workshops on topics such as successful promotion and career entry were offered.
Two of our team members from Wasser 3.0, Adrian and Monika, have actively participated the conference. In the first oral presentation Adrian showed how we can deal with the problem of microplastics in water. Monika with her presentation about a simple method for the detection of perfluorinated acids, won second place in the field of analytical and environmental chemistry.
We would like to thank the Royal Flemish Chemical Society (KVCV) and look forward to the next ChemCYS conference in 2020. We will definitely be there!
