We are shifting our focus of activity. Under the motto Unlock Potentials, we focus on A for analytics and analysis. In this way, we want to create a scientifically sound and data-based basis for the effective avoidance of microplastics in water.
You can find out why we have decided to go down this path and what cooperation with us might look like in the future in this blog post and also in person in two weeks' time at IFAT in Munich.
You will find us from May 30th to June 3rd at the joint stand of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Hall A1.431/530 of the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. And on Monday, May 30th at 11:30 am at the InnovationStage with a 20-minute presentation.
Lessons learned or who actually wants to remove microplastics from water?
Two years have passed since our founding in 2020. Since then, we have been working non-stop as a non-profit greentech company for water without microplastics and micropollutants.
On the one hand, we are busy further developing our technological innovations as part of our detect | remove | reuse strategy to bring it onto the market.
On the other hand, we tirelessly discuss what levers are needed for water without microplastics and micropollutants. Efficient and affordable removal technologies one would think. But the last two years have shown us that (at this point in time) this is not the point at all. First of all it's about
We have dealt extensively with these aspects and what they mean for effective action against microplastics in our water cycle in these blog posts. Dealing with the many findings, insights and experiences of the last few years has brought us to now expanded our services.
What counts for us is impact, not a simple pay and go
As a sustainability entrepreneur, implementing our technology and scaling it is just a means to an end - not for our wallets or potential shareholders (which we do not have).
Our purpose is water without microplastics and micropollutants in terms of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the common good. This also influences how we design cooperations, collaborations and customer relationships - we place individual goals in the context of the overriding purpose.
We do not rely on green marketing campaigns and limited single solutions, but on data, vision and impact measurement.
We are looking for real chanegmakers, fellow campaigners and multipliers for water without microplastics and micropollutants.
From problem to solution
Microplastics are now firmly anchored in people's minds as a problem area. But when it comes to solutions, there are big question marks. Both among consumers (of all ages), in industry, politics, science and civil society.
There are multiple reasons for that. All in all, they mean that, despite the high level of awareness of the problem, the implementation of solutions is very slow. There are many reasons for this too. As a consequence, it means that there is a lot of talk about microplastics, but little concrete action is taken against it.
Unlock Potentials
Under the motto Unlock Potentials, we want to lay the foundations so that data-based and solution-oriented decisions can be made when it comes to microplastics.
We see the greatest lever for using our technology against the further spread of microplastics in our environment in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment.
But we also want to contribute a fundamental understanding of the truly complex topic of microplastics in society as a whole. Because microplastics are more than tire abrasion, shampoo additives and marine pollution.
Our new offers
While limit values are still being discussed, in our Service Lab we collect the pollution parameters of water in a practical, pragmatic and at the same time scientifically sound manner, taking into account the underlying processes.
In our Test Center, we have - in addition to our own Wasser 3.0 PE-X® technology - other water treatment processes at our disposal. In relation to the respective challenge, we use them in feasibility studies.
With our rental model, we offer the opportunity to test our Wasser 3.0 PE-X® process in-house in a pilot phase lasting several weeks. In this way, we also evaluate what potential the removal of microplastics brings with it for a further sustainability upgrade of the value chain.
In this (German) article in ChemManager, we have summarized figures on the further use of process chemicals, process water, savings in energy and CO2 using the example of an early adopter from the paper industry. On this site, you find an overview of the data.
In addition, we offer lectures and workshops on topics that are important to us: microplastics, unsolved challenges in wastewater treatment in the 21st century and Greentech meets Social Business.
