Dr. katrin Schuhen nimmt den Next Economy Award der Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis entgegen

Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis (German Sustainability Award Foundation) honors Wasser 3.0 with the Next Economy Award 2022

Great honor and award for the team of Wasser 3.0 at the end of the year. At this year's ceremony of the

Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis (German Sustainability Award)

in Düsseldorf, we received one of the highly coveted

Next Economy Awards in the category of resource and environmental protection

.

And the Next Economy Award goes to…
"With its exceptional concept, Wasser 3.0 gGmbH makes a major contribution to climate and environment protection and has a positive impact on health and biodiversity. The company's profits are invested in its research and educational projects to raise awareness," says the jury.

With this 'sustainable' rating, we not only receive recognition for our holistic strategy detect | remove | reuse for dealing with microplastics, but also for our for-benefit business model with the core areas of research, education and communication.

We are proud and happy!
A Next Economy - today for tomorrow

Since our founding, we have often been asked why we make life so difficult for ourselves and tackle so many things at once -

application-oriented basic research

,

responsible innovation

,

sustainable education

,

market entry for new technologies

, and a

non-profit corporate form

.

The answer is our belief that only in such an overall construct we can make our contribution to a future fit for our grandchildren today . Therefore: GreenTech meets social business.

At this point, however, we would like emphasize that a non-profit form of enterprise does not mean that we ourselves work

pro-bono

.

  • It means that we use a research focus to develop data-driven and common good solutions for waters without microplastics and micropollutants.

  • It means that we draw appropriate salaries, but beyond that, we invest profits directly and transparently in new research and education projects.

The big questions about purpose and happiness

The social-ecological transformation needs a rethinking in all areas. The existing quite obviously has been working only for very few and even that not for much longer. A world fit for grandchildren needs people, organizations and institutions that get going today. We count ourselves among them and that is why we do things the way we do them. Because anything else would make little sense for us. Even if it (still) makes little sense for many.

Could we make it easier for ourselves? Certainly. Would we be happier with it? Certainly not. Because Wasser 3.0 and we are at peace with WHAT - HOW - WHY and we are willing to learn and give our all every day.

And some days we can't believe our luck.

Who are the other winners?

The Next Economy Award (NEA) was awarded for the seventh time in early December by the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis (Foundation German Sustainability Award) in cooperation with the Deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammertag (Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry) in various fields of sustainability. A public voting as well as live pitches in front of a jury of experts decided the winners.

We congratulate Enpal GmbH from the solar energy sector and the producer of e-fuels and e-products INERATEC GmbH for the other two Next Economy Awards 2022!
