10. December 2021We won the Aquatech Innovation Award in the category Green Chemicals for Water! And then it also got into the boxing ring...
The Aquatech Innovation Awards
recognize world-class innovations and technologies that have the potential to advance the global water market. Wasser 3.0 is the winner in the Green Chemicals for Water category! What followed just a short time later in The Hague was an experience of a special kind. Katrin Schuhen found herself in the final of the Get in the Ring Impact startup competition - and in a boxing ring.
The fascinating chemistry behind Wasser 3.0
Aquatech Amsterdam is one of the world's leading trade fairs for process, drinking and waste water. For the Aquatech Innovation Awards, 12 innovative technologies were nominated from more than 50 entries by a jury of experts from the water sector. The criteria for the awards, which were given in five categories, were originality, practicality and sustainability. The Green Chemicals for Water category was a new addition to the competition this year.
A category that in some ways seems made for us. After all, one of our great convictions is that clean water is only possible with clean technology.
Green Chemistry as well as energy- and resource-saving sustainable processes are our way into the future. We are very happy that not only we see it that way! The chemistry that is the basis for Wasser 3.0's removal technology fascinated the jury members: "You can remove very small particles in a very efficient way," was the jury's reasoning for choosing Wasser 3.0.

Wasser 3.0 in The Hague or pitching in the boxing ring
A year ago, Wasser 3.0 won the Berlin Finale of the Unknown Group's Get in the Ring startup competition. At that time in the virtual version, which, it must be noted in retrospect, did not come close to the experience that gave us The Hague. Corona-related, the European final, originally scheduled for March, finally took place. The 20 most promising solutions in the fields of food, water and energy, selected from 7500 start-ups, met in The Hague on November 4 for Europe's largest ImpactFest. Wasser 3.0 also convinced the jury here and made it into the top 4, putting Katrin Schuhen in the grand finale - in the boxing ring, that was. It was our great honour and pleasure to present our solutions for microplastic removal to the 1,500 visitors at ImpactFest. Impressions of this exciting evening can be found here.
We had an incredible time in The Hague thanks to great people in
Congratulations to reNature!
